The Music of JoAnn DerdenJoAnn received classical training as a pianist at the Fort Worth Conservatory of Music, North Texas State University, and Texas Christian University. Formerly of Fort Worth, Texas, she now makes her home in Ashe County, North Carolina. Her greatest musical influence was Jeannette Tillett (FWC and TCU). JoAnn's favorite composers have been Franck, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Tansman.
Though she considers her compositions to be inspired, she has been gifted with remarkable expressivity - the keyboard basically becoming an extension of her heart and soul.
